Some of the reasons why I love you..
-Somehow you can make me laugh when I am upset. Even if it's at you.
-How reasonable you are. I will say or do something completely irrational and you help me to see it in a different light.
-You offer me unconditional love.
-When you look over at me in the most random of instances and say, "You're pretty".
-When I start to go into panic mode about something, you will pretend you are me and do some ridiculous head shaking thing and screech like a girl. It lightens the situation and helps me put things in perspective.
-You always let me have my way, which drives me crazy sometimes, but it doesn't go unnoticed how completely selfless you are with me.
-We will be in separate rooms, and you will suddenly call out "I love you!"
-You are endlessly patient with me and my flaws.
-You are a questioner.. you actually try to figure things out. It's a trait that I greatly admire.
-You always approach problems by being on my side.
-You help inspire me daily. My mood, my day, my outlook is better because of you.
-You know how to comfort me, and really help me work through problems that come my way.
-When I looked at you in the car and said "You are the peas and I'm the carrots." You didn't skip a beat with your retort of "Why do I have to be the peas?" Then when I said I would be the peas you told me you didn't feel comfortable talking about this subject anymore, because you didn't understand it to begin with.
-You are talented at so many things. I swoon every time you sing and play your guitar for me.
-You always get celebrities mixed up when we watch movies. I will set you straight, and you will say "No Cait, you're not right. I know." (but you don't)
-You are smart. So so smart. It never ceases to amaze me what you know, and continue to learn.
-I love when you rant. I am rolling on the floor whenever you go on about blogs, stupid drivers, animal people, reality t.v., oh and who could forget your dissertation on why Tyra Banks is evil? (Your impression of her and the judges on ANTM makes me laugh so hard I cry.)
-You have beautiful blue eyes. I can't wait to see what our children will look like. No doubt handsome like their dad.
-Every time I even glimpse your face, I realize how incredibly lucky I am, and how much I positively love you. Every bit of you. Even your video game habits.
Happy Anniversary (tomorrow) Robert. I love you.

Simply Caitlin
Am getting super excited to unveil some things my two little hands have been working hard on. (It's actually four hands, since I couldn't have done it without the help of my dear mom.) Wish I could show a sneak peak, but it's not quite ready. The only thing I can tell you is.. I am making some fun stuff for babies, and young tots. That's right folks, I may just be hopping on the homemade train. If things can settle down a bit, and I can get up and running.. I may even try my hand at selling some simplycaitlin creations. I will keep you posted. In the mean time I am trying to get everything at work wrapped up, suitcases packed, and things cleaned. So we can skedaddle to Seattle.

Game Night
Things to remember when playing games with our family:
- My dad is good at everything. No really.. everything. Chances are if you happen to be beating him at a game.. he is probably playing down to you. (he's nice that way)
- My mom makes up completely ridiculous answers and will not give up until you give her the point. Is she creative? Oh yes. Is she writing down real answers? No, no, no.
- My husband is cheating. He believes this is part of every game. If you can get away with it, then you are good at the game.
- I am competitive. I get really into some games. Sometimes my "inner Monica" comes out.
So you can imagine how we must have looked last night playing these two games..
And for the record you cannot major in Badminton and a valid answer for a dairy product does NOT include Betsy your childhood cow!
What games do you and your family like to play? We are always looking for something new and fun.
Color Test Roll
I am testing three different types of film so I can know what I am dealing with in Seattle. This is the color roll. I find myself learning something different with each new roll I take. Still trying to work out the kinks. Next up is cross processed slide film. I have already scouted out the location I want to shoot.
Loving my new hobby.

Let's all get to know Caitlin a little better..
Have you ever attended a sleep-over and had those late night talks where the conversation always ends up going somewhere like "Hey what is everyone's most embarrassing moment?" You always hear people say "I can't think of one." or "I just don't get embarrassed." Unless I am there. I always have a million stupid things I have done. So I usually get the ball rolling and then by the end of the conversation everyone has shared something that they hope never leaves the room. Most sleep overs go that way. The next morning you wake up and think "Did I really just tell everyone that?", "Did we play Truth or Dare?", "Where is my bra?" (as you stumble to the freezer)
Well a while ago my cute friend Shannon posted about an embarrassing moment. (click here to read her super funny story) Which inspired me to share one with you.
I was probably 16 (old enough to know better) and was getting up to bear my testimony at church. But I figured I should say something funny, but couldn't think of what. So I got up to the pulpit and blurted out "Hi!" (far too loudly) then embarrassed I quickly mumbled the rest and left the pulpit. Not so bad right? Well here's where you might cringe.
I was half way down the stairs and realized I hadn't said "Bye!" yet. I mean, I wanted to be polite since I had started with a friendly hello. So I darted back up the stairs, pushed an old lady out of the way (who had started giving her testimony) and shouted "Bye!" (even louder than before)
I know, I know. At this point you are questioning if I have mental problems. It was honestly a weird moment where I blanked out, and nerdy, geeky, weirdo Caitlin took over and left me stunned. So stunned that after scurrying off the stand, I continued straight out the door and had to be coaxed back in.
The worst part about it was I had several people approach me for weeks after saying. "Y'know I really enjoyed your testimony, but next time you should leave out the hi and bye part." Leaving me to just hang my head, and say "Yeah, I know." What is it about people that need to point out the already embarrassing?
If any of you are brave enough, I would love to hear yours. Shannon and I have done it. I would love to know I am not the only freak-a-zoid (just saying that makes me sound like a Trekkie huh?)

5 things I found out last night..
1. My mom is good at everything. (cooking, sewing, drawing, etc..) Me, her offspring somehow got skipped with those genes.
2. If there is a sewing needle in a 5 foot proximity, I will find a way to poke myself with it.
3. I am very creative in my head. But when it comes time to creating in real life, it never quite turns out how I want it.
4. I don't like black licorice!
5. Whatever my mom is creating will inevitably turn out much better than mine. I am lucky I have her to show me a thing or two. Or three, four.. let's just say sometimes I am not the quickest learner.

good friend..
Dear Pursey,
Thank you for being big enough to fit.. well.. my whole life inside of you.
Sincerely,
the person holding you
p.s. Don't listen to Bob when he calls you heavy, he doesn't mean it.
Princess for a Day
We innocently went over to give Jessica her present for her birthday on Saturday, and somehow stepped into a Princess Party. You are all going to be jealous when I tell you this.. but I was transformed into a princess (crown included)..
..and let's not forget the gold(ish) green jeweled ring
But we weren't the only princesses...
the bling..
But we weren't the only princesses...
(My dad is such a good sport.)

Birthday in the Park
I very rarely work on Saturday's. But since I am here today, I figured why not post a little something. Last night was Zack's birthday in the park. My mom made one of her famous cakes. Zack chose Mickey...
I think every kid there, tried to squeeze into this very mini tent. (I love the kid in the back that's keepin' in real)
(It finally hit me, that I am getting old. I used to babysit Courtney or Shortney as I like to call her, but as you can see she isn't that short anymore.. she is turning 18 in a couple months! Seriously?)
