My girls

I am blessed with amazing girlfriends. I got to get together with a couple of them last night. Amber and Katy. These girls seriously crack me up. My stomach always hurts from laughing so hard every time I see them. It seems like whenever we get together we stay up way late laughing, and talking.

I have known Amber and Katy for a long time, and I love that we can go a couple months without seeing each other, and then get back together and pick right up where we left off. I love these girls. Seriously these two girls are a couple of my favorite people in the world.

(I also took some maternity pictures of Amber that I will post later today.)

Girl's Dinner

Had dinner Friday night with these cute girls. The only difference from the picture above is that Bonnie was the one pregnant and London wasn't hiding in Jess's belly.

(this one is my favorite, because we're all barely in the picture, but London managed to get at least one eye in)

Jon made us a yummy dinner and even hung out with us for a bit.

We hung out and planned Bonnie's baby shower. But the highlight of the evening had to be the fun with the cookie cutters. Bonnie had a million and there were some that were very indecipherable.

(Doesn't Bonnie look like Jem?!)

While there I took a few pictures of the pregnant mama so we can put them out at her shower. This one was my favorite. (I love how pregnant women seem to glow.)

Weekend Wedding

About two and a half years ago I was lucky enough to find my best friend and marry him in the Salt Lake Temple, following our wedding we had a ring ceremony and a reception at Rose Sachs Gardens.

The day was a great success due to a small army of people. I felt so lucky that day to have such amazing people there to support me and my brand new husband. One of those people is my friend Kelly. She not only offered to do my hair (for free) but she was my own personal assistant that day!

She got up at four in the morning to curl my hair before our wedding. (yes I said 4 a.m. when no one should be allowed to be awake) Then after we had the biggest down pour of rain.. seriously it was like a small monsoon following me around! I looked like a drown rat. So what did Kelly do? She got off work early to come and do my hair all over again before my reception. Not only that, but she did my makeup, she helped me get into my dress, and she helped me stay calm when the flower shop delivered the bouquet right out of the 80's. She also helped me fix it. She stayed and held my hand through all the drama.

I have always been incredibly grateful for her. So when she got married this weekend I was so excited to share in her happiness. Congrats girl!

Happy Engagement!

So some of you know that I had a brief stint as a missionary. I met three girls in the MTC that I will always consider some of my best friends. Wink (my comp.) Gibbs and Flo (who shared a room with us) There is something about struggling and enduring together that brings you closer. Today (Okay, I knew before this, but it's official today) that my sweet Gibbs is getting married! Congrats girl, I love ya!

This picture is of us in our room at the MTC, not her engagement picture, though that is what it sort of looks like ;)

The mama to bee.

Went to Alana's baby shower. Ate some awesome food, enjoyed every one's company, and went home with this darling favor. Such a fun night. Good luck Alana and baby, only three weeks to go!

jonnie bean shoes

Look here! I have shoes named after me! My dear, dear friend Bonnie has put her amazing talent to good use and is making baby shoes. Here are just a few of these little darlings. Go here to order.

Oh Baby!

**** WE ARE NOT PREGNANT!****

Okay, that being said. Congratulations are in order for the Swenson's! We actually found out a while ago, but have had to be hush hush about it till now. We are so excited for them! This is a picture of us at Ruth's Diner right after they told us.

After we sat down, Jessica told us she had taken a picture she was really proud of and wanted to show us. (Which we thought was a little strange.) Then she pulled out this.

I was a little emotional due to the time of month, and burst out crying. I am just so excited! I want to hold the baby now! It must be baby season.. My sister in law, Alana, and now Jessica are all preggo. I am excited to see all of the sweet babies! Congrats you guys!

Tandem? Who's Tandem?

Got together last night with the MTC girls
(well minus newlywed Flo..dang Idaho!)

We ate Chinese, Wink learned a new word, we got hit on by a nerdy guy in a Bug, talked about good ol' times, each got our cameras out and took a million pictures, laughed until our sides hurt, and realized we don't see each other enough. Love these girls.

Yes, it's true we met the Red Robin, and the rumors are true... he is just as nice as he appears to be on t.v. (photo credits to Bob, who refused to be in the picture)

Cream Filled Strawberries

So our friend Gavin is graduating today! He has put in a lot of hard work, but he refuses to let anyone get him any presents. (seriously REFUSES) So instead we decided to surprise him last night and take him lot's of balloons (thanks Eric) and these cream filled strawberries. Congrats on graduating Gav, we love you!

I got this recipe from my aunt Kim (she is quite the gourmet). They turned out so pretty but most important... yummy! Here's whatcha do...

wash and core strawberries...

make the filling...

squeeze filling in strawberries, refrigerate, and drizzle chocolate...

Here is the finished product. (check comments for full recipe)
