I keep this Polaroid in my purse at all times. This was taken when I was leaving. (see here if you don't know the story) It seems so long ago, and yet I remember it like it was yesterday.
I know I mentioned how thankful I was for my family yesterday. And yes, Bob is a part of that crazy/fun family. But I thought he deserved an extra mention. I'm so grateful for my best friend.
After almost four years of marriage, Bob still has this hanging in his Bronco. (It's his boutonniere from our wedding.) He hung it on the rear view mirror right after our reception on the way to the hotel. I asked him once why he still had it in there years later. He said it was a reminder of one of the happiest days of his life. For as much as Bob isn't a sentimental goober like me, it's nice to know he isn't dead inside like I always tease him that he is.
(Case in point.. we were watching UP in the theater, and I was bawling my eyes out, when he looked over at me and incredulously asked "Are you really crying? It's a cartoon Caity." "But the wife just died!" "Caity, they just stopped drawing her. She's a cartoon.")

Sometimes when I get bored in the car, I pull out the camera. Needless to say Bob gets annoyed and calls me the paparazzi. Here is the typical sequence..
1. slightly annoyed
2. annoyed
3. slightly past annoyed
We both have this funny and slightly sadistic thing in our marriage where we try to annoy each other to get the funny outcome and overall entertain ourselves. Does this mean we need marriage counselling? I don't think so, we are having fun.
