Yee Haw..

 Last Friday..

 I line danced..

 I karaoked..

And I rode a mechanical bull..
I have a list of things I want to do before I turn 30, and last weekend I crossed one more thing off my list.  Mechanical bull riding.  It was hysterical, and just as fun as I thought it would be. Yes, there's a cowgirl lurking around inside of me and was thrilled to be let out.  I was even pulled aside that night by a woman who told me I looked like I was having an awful lot of fun. I laughed and told her the funny thing was that I was doing it all sober.  You should have seen her face.  Yeah, I tend to get a little crazy.

Happy Birthday Dad

Happy Birthday to a man who taught me to be kind.  To actually listen to what others have to say.  And who taught me the coolest "secret" handshake around.  I love him.  He is the best Dad any girl could ever ask for.

Brian Head for Bob's 30th..

I surprised Bob for his 30th by telling him to get packed, we were going on an adventure.

I had been super sick for two weeks, so he thought I was delirious from cold meds, but once I convinced him I was serious, we hopped in the car.

We had to make a few stops before our adventure began, but once we got on the road we had a ton of fun.

Neither of us had been to Brian Head, so I thought it would be a fun trip.  It was the week before Christmas, and all of the snow made it feel so festive and fun.  The first night we just relaxed and ate some of the best food ever.  I am convinced I will never have bruschetta as good ever again.  And don't worry we ended it all with deep fried cheesecake that was to die for.  Then went for a dip in the pool.  (The pool had a waterfall!)  And then got into the hot tub that was outside surrounded with snow.  The lodge was ridiculously nice and we felt so pampered.  Our dear friend hooked us up with an awesome deal for the weekend.

The next day we bundled up and went tubing.  It was seriously so much fun.  I was cracking up when the guy we were buying tickets from asked us how many kids we had with us.  We might have been the only adults there without kids, but we didn't care.  We had a blast.

We relaxed for the rest of our stay.  Explored the town, and played in the snow.  The weekend was so nice, and the perfect way to celebrate Bob.  Can't wait to go back!  I would definitely recommend a trip out there if you've never been.

A Very Hairy Christmas Party..

..was our theme this year for our annual Christmas party.  It was hysterical what people came up with.  (Someone even shaved, and spray painted a tree and snowmen into their beard with tree decorations and a real carrot!)

Bob really got into the beard trimming.  And as you can see he ended up looking like an ex convict truck driver, and I ended up looking like a man from the Middle East.  It was quite the party.

Merry {belated} Christmas

Wow Christmas came and went in a blur.  Didn't have time to get any Christmas cards out this year, which was a bummer since we do it every year.  I just had to remind myself that I can't always do everything.  But I thought I better at least share this.  It wasn't actually going to be our Christmas card.  (I showed it to Bob and he said that he thought it was creative, but you couldn't see our faces, and he thought that was the point.)  I think that's part of why I like it.  Sometimes I think it's silly that we send out a Christmas card with just the two of us.  But I still like the tradition and I love getting actual Christmas cards in the mail.

This was taken on our little three day weekend for Bob's 30th celebration.  We went to Brian Head.  It was gorgeous and so much fun.  More on that in a bit.

Sail Away..

(I am going through pictures from 2011 that I haven't posted, and found these. Trying to catch up on the blog.)

In September our friend Shawn took us on his sailboat. We sailed on the GSL, and it was beautiful. We even got caught in a storm. It made for a fun adventure on the high seas.

I think so many people have a bad impression of the Great Salt Lake because they visit and there are brine flies everywhere and it smells.  But once you get out on the water that all goes away, and the water is so serene.

There was even some synchronized swimming that went on.  Love our random adventures.

(On a side note blogger is driving me crazy.  I hate the new settings and how it spaces things. Gr.)
