If these walls could talk..

One of the saddest parts about moving for me is taking down all of our pictures and art from the walls. I know we get to take them with us and hang them in our new home, but there is something about walking into my house and seeing our three photographs Stanna so nicely gifted us.

If you were to look to the left you would see the photographs Jason Christensen was sweet enough to send our way.

To walk down the hall and into the kitchen to see my Robert Doisneau hanging dutifully over our stove.

To wake up every morning and see the streets of New York over our heads. Or to walk past the burst of red from the two panels Bob and I painted together.

To get ready in the mornings, step out of my shower and see my silly colorful Ikea ducks.

I will have to find new places to hang my beloved art. It's a smaller place, so I hope I can find a spot for everything. Maybe I'm being silly, but I don't want to take it all down! So I took pictures so I could remember it all. Thought I would share my walls with you. (p.s. I would love to see what's hanging in your house, play along if you'd like.)

It's always hard moving, I had a hard time moving into our house from the condo. but at least I was gaining more space, sorry girl. Nice pictures though.

They are from Ikea. I think I spent 6 dollars on the prints and frames. I'm sure they still have them.

I agree with you! There is something about what you put on your walls and how you display things that is so personal! I have a frame above my bed that says "dream" which is one of my favorite things on my walls! I also have some vinyl lettering that says "LOST... One glass slipper". You will have fun putting your favorite things in your new home!
