General Conference

This weekend my church had it's semi annual General Conference. Where the leaders of our church addressed us.

I must admit I was hesitant going into conference this year. I miss President Hinckley terribly. I miss his sense of humor and his love that radiated out of him. In fact every time a talk included a quote of his, it made me want to cry. I went into it thinking it wouldn't be the same.

What I needed to realize is that conference is a way for Heavenly Father to communicate through the speakers. I was listening to conference on Sunday morning while I started packing up my little apartment, and sort of moping because of how much I have become attached to my apartment and how I would miss it. As I was doing this, President Monson spoke. It felt like he was speaking directly to me. He spoke of change, and to remember to always look forward. I have come to realize that President Monson knows his stuff. He is very in tune with the spirit and while he communicates a little differently than President Hinckley did, he is still the prophet and amazing. Just thought I would share a bit of my conference experiences.

Thanks for sharing you two cents. I always like hearing your insightful opinions. I think change is in the air lately for a lot of us, thanks for supporting me with my recent "changes." If I can help you in any way, please let me know.

Ah, you're so nice. Okay, I'll keep you posted about the move. We need to have the Svay family over to our new apartment soon!
