Hopped on a plane and got our sweet rental car. (Some go for Ferrari's and Corvette's..the BobCat goes for the VW Rabbit.)
Day One:
Old Town and the Whaley House.
(The Whaley House is supposedly the most haunted place in all of America..I wouldn't waste the six bucks.)
Then that night we went kayaking in La Jolla.
We explored the La Jolla caves and saw sea lions right up close. This is a great way to see La Jolla. Luckily Bob and I went tandem, or else I fear my little arms might not have gotten me to those caves.
Day Two:
We went surfing first thing in the morning. It was challenging for me, but super fun. We also boogie boarded and body surfed. Those waves are gigantic, and were incredibly fun to swim in.

Day Three:
Our anniversary (See previous post) I forgot to mention that Bob surprised me by taking me to get a pedicure. (I mean come on, you can't go to the beach without pretty toes ;)
Day Four:
We drove out to Coronado Island. We did a little swimming, and basking in the sun. Coronado is gorgeous.
Then we went to Point Loma and took a tour of naval submarines and took a boat tour out around the city.
We ended our busy day with a trip up to see Mount Soledad. It had a breathtaking view.

Day Five:
The last day, we were a bit exhausted. So we took it easy. Hung out around Gas Lamp, Seaport Village, and Balboa Park. We also ate at Hodad's, which had some amazing burgers. (Thanks to Julie for the recommendation.)
Such a fun trip. We played hard, and are happy to be back. I don't think my face could take anymore sun!
** I apologize for the amount of pictures. I use this blog as a journal too, so sometimes posts can get a bit long.

Okay seriously I think you should be on one of those travel shows that take you on tours to different places. Or you could write those travel books that tell you what to do and what not to do. SERIOUSLY that would be the perfect job for you...that or a radio DJ
