(showin' my love for Joseph)
- Having a Christmas Eve get together with the ones I love and opening one present.
- When we were little we would buy those mini boxes of cereals that come in a pack, and then Christmas morning we would wake up and get to have lot's of different kinds of cereal. We have since been doing large traditional breakfasts with bacon, eggs, pancakes, etc.. But every time I pass those cereal packs in the store, I think of Christmas.
- Drawing names to buy presents for one person. It's always fun and different every year.
- Getting a new ornament every year from Bob's parents.
- When my dad reads the story of Christ's birth from the Bible every year on Christmas Eve.
I am someone who LOVES traditions. I always try to find new one's for when I have kids. So I would love to hear every one's favorite traditions.
So play along and tell me what your favorite is...

What a CUTE girl you are! Traditions at Christmas are one of my all time favorites that we share as a family. We do Christmas jammies on Christmas Eve with a movie and treats. Out on my counter I set out 4 boxes of cereal with 4 new-big colorful bowls (its the cereal they each LOVE but I NEVER buy because it's TOO sugary or expensive). We also unwrap gifts one person at a time (this is NOT popular but it does happen) we make cookies, candy, and eat WAY TOO much. My kids LOVE the parties that we have every year with our families, Temple Square....so many ideas, so little room to type. Great post girlie.
Christmas Eve pajamas is one from my husband's family...
Also, writing Santa a letter EVERY YEAR. Even now that I am grown-up. It's kind of fun to save them and I like to think that will be fun for our kids/grandkids/etc.
We had the mini cereals growing up too. We would always fight over who got the best kind and who was stuck with Raisin Bran! Scott and I have always talked about having a multi-cultural Christmas--celebrating a different countries traditions, food, songs, etc every year. This year we are going to start with Italy!
Oh my heck...I remember those paper mache manger scenes that your Mom and Grandmommy did. I wish I still had one!
we have acted out the nativity every year of my life that I can remember. I was ALWAYS the narrator because I loved to read. Then the sisters fought over who could be Mary or the Angels (because they had the cutest outfits). It's soooo cute to watch my little cousins (and soon our niece and our own little one)act it out the same way. It really brings the meaning home for me.
