Back to school..

My husband Robert goes back to school today. Which makes me think about when I used to get so excited to go back to school, and how I loved to do all the shopping beforehand. My mom and I would head to the store to buy..

(Do you remember Trapper Keepers?! I loved them, except mine usually looked more like this..)

I would put all this in my backpack (that I would only sling over one shoulder because that was the hip thing to do) and skip off to school. Speaking of how hip I was..

I wonder if I could get away with that outfit now, not to mention the sweet side pony.

Oh how fun to think about back in the elem. school days or even high school. I was thinking the same thing, remembering the "trapper keepers" we actually called them Peachies... crazy!

That's funny, I wonder why, but Peachies sounds cute. My favorite were the slap bracelets and bubble necklaces.

Just yesterday I was longing to have someone to buy school supplies for as I was passing by that section at Target... I looked forward to getting my new binder and pencil pouch every year... I was such a dork! You were so cute as a little girl... no surprise there... I am loving the multi-colored buttons!

I had totally forgotten about pencil pouches!

It's not going to be too long until Cole goes off to kindergarten and then you can get him all the boy school stuff.. like GI Joes to sneak in his backpack? (I don't know :)

I am pretty sure I was a nerd too.. I would skip everywhere I went, and I believe what you're not seeing in the picture is multi colored tights.. yeah I was pretty cool.

I get to do this next year with Shaelie.. SO CRAZY. I'm not ready.

I remember the trapper keepers, and I think I even still have one of my old ones.

Kurt goes back to school today, too. If you're ever lonely at night and wanna chill with an old lady and three ankle-biters, gimme a call. haha

You could totally get away with it. I DO remember trapper keepers. They were so perfect for Jeremy and Nathan cause they sat right on their trays. They were truly heaven sent. Jeremy had a garfield one and Nathan had an animal one...Ahh the momories. So good!

I just read my comment and it's kinda funny cause I left the heaven sent comment kinda lingering...I was referring to the trapper keepers...Not my brothers. But I guess you could say that they were heaven sent as well. :)

I enjoy talking to people that have memories of them because a lot of the people in my life now don't know and have never met them. But you, will remember them like I do.

I understood the comment. I totally remember Jeremy loving Garfield! And when you said trays a ton of memories came flooding back! Nathan and Jeremy really were some of my favorite people. And I do think they were heaven sent :)

I know, I can't believe how little we were! I need to dig up the class pictures of us and Sheree, and Charmaine! Holy cow, I don't even think I would recognize them! (I think I used to work with Charmaine, but I never talked to her cause I wasn't sure) Do you remember how we used to talk and walk around the whole playground for recess??

caitlin said...

I just read that, and it sounded weird..I didn't talk to her because we worked in different departments, so it's not like I would see her every day.

I actually saw that outfit in Urban outfitters yesterday. I think they have it in your size!!!

Well I mean since it's so stylish, I wonder if I could just find this outfit and try to squeeze into it. That way it will be REALLY cool.
