and the medal goes to..

It was such an intense night of women's gymnastics. China won the gold, and America won the silver. If you look at the pictures you will notice two things..

1- It appears that the girls from China are about 3 years old.

and

2- The American girls are all smiling, but in their heads they are thinking the only reason they are wearing silver medals is because of one teammate in particular. The one that I am sure did some heavy drinking after the competition. (click here to see what I mean)

GOOD THING CHINA WON!! IN AMERICA WE DON'T KILL OFF OUR GYMNAST IF THEY DON'T GET THE GOLD!!! HA HA HA

That's what Bob and I were laughing about. We thought it was better China won, because if they didn't, they probably would have had their fingers cut off or something! Not really, but China's coaches aren't that nice to the gymnasts!

Seriously...those girls are NOT 16! One is still missing some of her teeth...you stop losing teeth after about age 12! Even Bella Caroli admitted that he believes the Chinese government lied about their ages. But what does that mean really...that our older girls who have been practicing longer can't beat 12 year old girls? Not a very big factor in who should win in my book. Just that the Chinese government is currupt! Poor Alicia...she will never live this down in her own mind!

I know! When the littlest girl got up to perform I started laughing. There is no way she is very old. I wonder if it helps to be smaller though. Yeah they are pretty corrupt there.

I felt so bad for the US girls, they looked so rattled..especially Alicia.

I guess I spelled corrupt wrong!!! I wish they had spell check on these stupid comment pages! OH well maybe I should just learn to spell. Heaven knows I know the meaning of every word in the English language thanks to your little rice challenge!!!

I wasn't offended Lindsey, but I may not know exactly what it is. You can explain it to me next book club ;)

Hey, just wanted to say thanks for all the great comments! They certainly made my day. I was a little offended that people would be offended about the water pictures, but hey, it is my blog. Your so cute. I will tell you the secret location of the green door if you promise to never, ever reveal it to anyone! It is that cool.

Alright, so Yes the China teams had 10 years olds on it!! Not fooling anybody, but Holy crap, what was with our team and the floor excersize?!?!?! Are you kidding me?! 3 girls performed and ALL 3 of them stepped out at least once. Not to mention the previous day!! In the pre-lims,,,, USA really sucked it up on floor. If they could have stayed in bounds (and landed on their feet) they could most definitely have pulled out beating the 10 year old china team! I was yelling at the TV everytime they fell off beam, or stepped out on floor... Drew was laughing so hard at me :) rawr

Ok so I had to tell you what I heard today. Evidently there was some research done (not sure by who) But the one girl on the China team who looks extremely young. They have on record 2 years ago her in a newspaper stating she was 13, and then also information from within this year at worlds listing her as 14... so all the sudden this year she is 16 and competing in the olympics??? They say that unless there is MAJOR uprawr about it, nothing will be done. So even though most people know and even have some evidence that she is under the "age limit" nothing will come of it. Just some info :)

Wow, that's interesting, and not so shocking. That government is pretty corrupt.

I also find it interesting that her parents don't really care either.

Thanks for the info! I love all things Olympics!
