Ballerina

While taking Courtney's graduation photo's I thought it would be fun to take advantage of having a model at my disposal and go shoot some more stuff she obviously wouldn't use for an announcement. I loved the idea of telling a story of a ballerina walking all around the city doing the day to day stuff. So we went to the little laundromat around the corner from my apartment. You can imagine we got some weird looks. Hey, Ballerina's do laundry too.

I would love to do a bunch of these series and put them in a book.. Courtney, how do you feel about heading to the dentist in your tutu? :)

LOVE the middle one. You are one talented little scrunch. Seriously.
Your cousin is soo lucky to have you at her disposal.
Can you be at my disposal? I mean, you know what I mean.

uh...I think you forgot that Ballerinas cross the street! I can't believe you didn't use those? They were hysterical. The leaps were some of my favorite!

Seriously P.S. is right. We are so lucky to have you! You are amazing (think I've said that a thousand times...I need a new word) Thank you again for all the millions of hours you spent. You deserve a heck of a lot more than a Whopper!!!!!

Love ya girl!

I like the third one because it looks like she got bored and waited outside so she could watch the "unusual" passersby. (what, with her life so routine and all)

The ones in your previous post are good too. If you were to make it into a series, you'd probably need to vary the colour of the dress: red chapter, blue chapter, yellow chapter and so on.

The subtle colour variations you are getting in your photos don't look digital. Are you scanning in slides or are you doing something interesting with Photoshop?
Whatever it is, I like it a lot.

Thanks Ian. I like the idea of the color variations to keep it interesting.

Also I do shoot with a toy camera and I cross process it during development. So I think that's why I like that look. These were done digitally, and then I took them into photoshop and fooled around with the color etc.. until I liked what I saw. Good eye! (and thanks for the feedback)
