Star Sighting

Yes, it's true we met the Red Robin, and the rumors are true... he is just as nice as he appears to be on t.v. (photo credits to Bob, who refused to be in the picture)

Holga Hunt

I am on a hunt for a good Holga for my trip to Seattle. If anybody has any ideas for me, let me know. To see what a Holga camera can do look here and here.

Rock & Roll Daddio

If you are still searching for the perfect Father's Day gift... look no further, I stumbled upon this gem a couple days ago and all I can say is "wow". Who seriously thinks to invent something like this? You know his name was John.

A little roof top romance..

A couple posts ago I mentioned that Friday was the two year mark for when Bob officially proposed. So I decided to surprise him. That night I sent Bob to go do some long boarding and I went to work on setting up the roof. I must have taken four or five trips to get everything up. I probably looked like a nut case to my neighbors.

On the menu...

Well when Bob proposed we had eaten Chinese food, so I thought it would be appropriate. (Plus I had been craving Charlie Chows) We also had sparkling cider and strawberry and chocolate bon bons.

(view from our roof) It was a beautiful night.

We toasted, ate, and relaxed

Whenever I try to get Bob to take a picture with me he does something silly.

..am so happy with my husband..

Meet Jermaine and Bret...

I know I already posted about the Flight of the Conchords, but after hanging out with Ami and Jon this weekend, I rediscovered how freakin' hilarious they are. Stop what your doing and search YOUTUBE for them. "Bret, you got it goin on..."

weekend long boarding

Bob has been teaching me how to long board. I have to say it's pretty fun. I grabbed my camera so we could get some hard core pictures of us. (which Bob informed me was very un-cool, as a disclaimer I should say that Bob did not want his picture on here.) So I settled on these ones that don't show our faces, so we can protect our street cred. :)

The answer is yes!

(I think it's funny how Bob looks bald in this picture!)

So two years ago today my sweet Bob proposed on the roof of our building(officially, because if you read this story you know a Japanese man proposed first!)

I am surprising him tonight with a picnic on the roof to celebrate. Hopefully it doesn't rain on us!

The story...

I had come home from the mission and he wanted to spoil me for a day. So he dropped me off at the spa and I got a full body massage, a manicure, a pedicure, and my hair done. Then we went to a movie and to PF Changs (one of my favorites)
I kept wondering if he was going to give me the ring, but after dinner and the movie I had lost hope. Then he drove us to our spot that over looks the city and I thought for sure he was going to propose. But he didn't
Then he said "Well let's just go back to my apartment." (which is now our apartment) He took me up to the roof which had rose petals and candles everywhere. He had a table set up with fondue, fruit, sparkling cider (the works)
(His friend had taped the ring under the table and he had used a ton.) After we toasted, he loudly ripped the box and tape off of the table, got down on one knee, said a bunch of amazing things to me and proposed. (I cried of course) Then I called everyone I knew.
I am so glad Heavenly Father knows how to help us find the right people. I love Bob and am far too blessed to have him in my life.
*Also please note that two years ago the date was 6/06/06...that's right folks, he proposed on the day of the devil! (he he)
