Time to admit something. I have a thing.. kind of a pet peeve if you will.
I don't like when people turn their Christmas lights on before Thanksgiving. I think it's important to remember Thanksgiving and I don't want to rush Christmas. But this pet peeve is two fold..
After Christmas, okay I will even give you until New Years Eve.. those lights and decorations need to come down. They just do. I get that some people just can't let Christmas go, but when I am driving around and see Christmas lights on houses in late January it annoys me. Then February rolls around and there are always a few stragglers that were too lazy in January to take them down, so they keep them up and call them Valentines lights. This is so odd to me. But I think I'm pretty tolerant, I only yell from inside my car for them to take down the lights.
Well I know it snowed in Utah a couple days ago, but I'm pretty sure this doesn't mean it's still Christmas time. I believe it's Spring, and I believe it's April. What I don't believe is after running to the grocery store late last night that I came across this house..
I screeched to a stop. Sat there looking, wondering if I was a bit tired and was just seeing things. Took a closer look and they were definitely Christmas lights. What could the reason possibly be? Why are these people celebrating Spring in such an odd way? Is it..
01. a weird joke? (I'm not laughing)
02. They spent a lot of time putting them up and want to enjoy them through the whole year?
03. They lost a bet?
04. I'm taking crazy pills and Christmas is coming twice this year?
Whatever the reason, I don't care. It may be time Bob and I go on a little reconnaissance mission. Operation Easter Bunny takes down Santa is about to commence.
