When Jane announced this corner view was going to have the theme of breakfast, my mind quickly went to my favorite breakfast food. Pancakes. I love them. I think I am the only person I know who prefers pancakes over french toast. My mom makes the best. Mmm, crispy edges. But for today's post I give you sourdough pancakes with strawberries sprinkled on top. Pancakes seem to taste just a bit better when enjoyed in Salt Lake City's perfect spring weather.
Others sharing their breakfast, invite you to stop by..

I love pancakes too. In England we call Shrove Tuesday 'Pancake Day'. We don't have French toast.

Mine too! I would even go so far as to say the Pancake House rates up there in my top 10 restaurants...Hugs!-Jane
Hey there. I'm just joining in on this too.
The Husband and I both love pancakes, but we never eat them! Just not a local food (either here or back in Uk or AUstralia for that matter lol). But with vanilla cream and blueberries.... oh my.
I love French Toast, perhaps I'm just too breakfast-lazy to make pancakes? :)
tell me more...tell sound yummy
that's a classic! yummi!
oh!
I would eat pancakes every day if I could... but I will probably get too fat too son... he he
It´s only a weekend thing for me :(

Oh, I hear you! Pancakes our on our Saturday menu!! Love this photo!!
It's always nice to read people writing that their moms make the best of something! I should really improve my cooking skills for my kids:)!
Oh yes, pancakes, forever... :)
pancakes, yammy;)
I would love to eat those pancakes. They are a favorite around here as well. Nice photo, too :)
I love pancakes!!!
as I live by my own I don't often cook them. but if yes:
I eat the portion of 3 people!
how is your recipe for perfect pancakes?
Now this is something I know! And they have to be served with yummy, sticky, super sweet syrup. I have to admit that I prefer waffles and French toast to pancakes... does that make me less American? When we visit my parents in the States, I eat sausage patties and waffles for the first two weeks to stock up for the rest of the time I don't get them in Germany.
Jane clearly needs to get out more!
Hey Caitlin! Thanks for your comment, and I have to say that your breakfast looks delightful as well!
oh yes! pancakes over french toast any day! i love mine with berries in them, or pumpkin pancakes with special spices when it's fall. and of course real maple syrup. super yum, and beautiful picture.
Is funny because all the meals are so different. We never eat pancakes at breakfast, in Argentina there are a dessert! I love your picture.
Oh, if you ever get a chance you have to go to the Pancake Pantry in Nashville, TN. I used to work across the street from there and the line was out the door every day. :)
Mmmm, I love pancakes, but it's not very curent here in France !!
Great close up view, it feels so real and inviting.
What a treat to visit so many intriguing corners.
maybe I should try pancakes too... :)
