Bannack

On our way back from Coeur d'Alene. We visited a small ghost town in Montana. I kept wishing I could go back in time and see the people of Bannack bustling around the town. Going to church and school..
The men headed to the Masonic Temple, the bar, and hotel. (*ahem, yes, there were many books in the gift shop telling of all the debauchery and ladies of the night.)

And let's not forget the jail. They also had a gallows. It's really cool to see how differently people lived back then.

It was all very interesting, and the town is set right next to beautiful rolling hills and a stream. Such pretty scenery on our trip.

Tomorrow I will show you our first night in the beautiful Coeur d'Alene.

Cool. I've always wanted to visit a ghost town. The question is, did you see any?

so is this little spot in 'arrested decay' (where they come in and keep things tiddy and yet dishevled in an ghost town sort of way).
this looks like a realy fun spot and you got some fantastic shots too!

Peggy, I didn't see any ghosts, but I could see the place being creepy at night. I don't think I would want to be camping out there by myself!

And Vanessa, I think they kept it tidy. Some things were in super good condition and some stuff was really old and in dis-repair.

It was all really neat though.
